Recovery First Treatment Center

I had an awesome experience with recovery first. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Thank you so much for the tools I needed to get my life back on track!

Let's start by saying the food was like prison.. having to attend 5 meetings a day keeps me from getting the proper rest necessary for recovery. If you don't attend the meetings you don't get your phone. It was like living in the prison Ward. I would never recommend anybody to go there if you need tapering off of benzos. The head people promise you the world but the only concern is to go to lunch on time and to get off to go home on time. Episodic facility that I wouldn't neve recommend to anybody period!!! Stay away from this dump.

Been here twice. Only reason this place was of any interest to me personally is because the first time I met a therapist named Chris Tourrentine. Otherwise it's another corporate rehab. The cat on the grounds is second best thing after Chris otherwise it's a shit hole. Reviews are fake unfortunately since the staff ambushes you at some point and kinda pushes you to leave a 5 star review. They only ambush people that like the place. They won't ask for a review from someone who is having a shitty time there. CEO really cares about google reviews. If you don't like something just make a lot of fuss of it online.

The groups and therapists are great. The building is dilapidated it's kind of a shock it appears as a broke down motel it needs serious remodeling. The inside needs an overhaul. They need to give a day where we can take a break from groups 7 days a (week is rough) give us a chance to enjoy some me time, or take the group to a outdoor session, like the beach, a museum, art gallery, the aquarium places of cultural interest.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Better yet negative 10 stars. This is the worst recovery center ever. My husband has been struggling with alcohol for some time now, and was eager to seek help. I found this place for him and what I thought initially was a great placement turned into a nightmare. I spoke with a lady at their corporate office in TN named Tungee. We mentioned several times that my husband didn't require a detox but moreso therapy. She assured me that he could come there and get the proper level of care to meet his needs. We paid, booked his flight and he was set to go the next afternoon. Shortly after dropping him off at the airport as he is about to board his plane, I received a call from this piss poor place staying that they misunderstood and could no longer take him in or else he'd have to pay daily for room and board. Which initially was included in his insurance fees. And that they could not provide his level of care. They also stated they were sorry and there's nothing else they could do. After getting his hopes up, having him look forward to treatment he became completely shattered, discouraged and devastated thinking he'd be stuck with no help. This is no way to treat anyone struggling with addiction. Next time don't sell a dream you can't live up to!!!! Just pure evil.

Only plus to my stay here was the blessings & inspiration of Sarge along with the tid-bits of key advice & information from groups , very humbling women !

Overall a good experience, Suzanne i. Nursing is fantastic. Counseling is good, Marie and Mel do a great job. Overall the Vet breakout groups were good and most of my needs were addressed. I went to the Hollywood facility during covid and the staff really tried to accommodate our needs. The only bad point is Andy's insistence that it is a faith based program, that along with is morning come to Jesus preaching really.left a sour taste in my mouth, if you are agnostic or do not want to be preached to I would suggest you find another treatment facility unless Andy is put in his place.

The groups, staff where super helpful the peers always friendly and helpful and you learn a lot in the classes. They understand anything you say or how you feel and they try there best to help you with your situations so you can find a solution to your problems and avoid any negative or bad situations that will trigger you. I recommend this place to anybody having a hard time right now this is the best place to be at.

The staff, clonitians and counselors were spot on! I had two visits to the facility and the second one I have followed the system. Which is indeed the key. Come and join them and surrender all you can so you receive the full benefits the first time. I look forward to the Happines that has and will resume in all area of life.

Has staff that actually cares, great facilities, outings to beach, gym or parks everyday..
Great Alumni program as well.. If I are looking to get clean and sober, Recovery First is the way to go..
